This morning I found a refreshing web site – www.kenyaipo.co.ke that I understand was set up by Safaricom and CitiGroup, in which one could simply input their Nairobi Stock Exchange CDS Account and then apply for the number of shares that you want. Well, the site is down as I post this but I’m sure it will be repaired in a jiffy. It is certainly an excellent facility that will allow people like you not to queue. Then there is this interesting news about allocating the Safaricom shares prorata against the applications. Interesting. It may cause me to reconsider my earlier stance on getting shares immediately – when I understand it.
